International Surgical Week ISW
World Congress of the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC
The main meeting of ISDS is in conjunction with the biennial International Surgical Week ISW organized by the International Society of Surgery ISS/SIC. Regularly some 15 - 20 International Specialist Societies, amongst which are the five ISS/SIC Integrated Societies (IATSIC, IAES, BSI, IASMEN, ISDS) as well as some National Surgical Societies cover the broad spectrum of surgery during a 4-day scientific program. With the aim to gather surgeons in all stages of their career and from all around the globe, the ISW provides platform for the mutual exchange of scientific knowledge and new techniques.
A very successful ISW was held in Yokohama, Japan in August/September 2011.
